The Champagne Vitrail by Alexandre Chaillon takes shape across the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay, from parcels selected in the lieux-dits Terres de Breux (lieu-dit) at Brugny and Les Renards (lieu-dit) at Pierry, a village classified Premier Cru, where the landscape holds a long geological memory. Here the vines grow on soils of chalk, marl and clay shaped over eras spanning from the Campanian to the Sparnacian, a deep stratification that imprints on the wine an intense mineral signature and a complexity of rare expressiveness.

This edition, based of the 2022 harvest, shows a predominance of Pinot Noir grapes at 50%, joined by 43% Chardonnay and a small portion of Meunier, with vinification and maturation in tonneaux of 228 and 300 litres and in concrete eggs, where it rests eleven months on the fine lees without any filtration. After the tirage comes an ageing of around 30 months on the lees, before a dégorgement with no final dosage, in Brut Nature style.

On the tasting, Vitrail stands out for a substantial structure and an enveloping textural power, immediately balanced by a vibrant, dynamic freshness that sustains its tension and guides its development with great poise. On the palate a resolute, luminous character emerges, with a vertical, taut, savoury and perfectly defined profile that stretches with rising progression toward a broad, flavourful finish of long, coherent and gratifying persistence. Overall production of 3,857 bottles and 305 magnums.
