Champagne Vilmart & Cie was founded in 1890 in Rilly-la-Montagne, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, and remains one of the most established family-run estates in Champagne. For five generations, the Champs family has preserved its identity and vision, maintaining full independence and a direct connection to its vineyards. Today, Laurent Champs leads the Domaine with a precise and personal style, making Vilmart a benchmark among the most respected récoltants-manipulants in the region.

The estate covers 11 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards, farmed with a strong focus on environmental balance and certified under Viticulture Durable en Champagne and Haute Valeur Environnementale. Vineyard practices emphasize biodiversity, soil vitality, and grape quality, with all fruit harvested by hand. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir shape a production that clearly reflects the terroir, resulting in Champagnes of remarkable clarity and strong territorial identity.

In the cellar, Vilmart follows a distinctly artisanal approach: all cuvées are vinified and matured in oak barrels, with no malolactic fermentation, in order to preserve freshness, tension, and aromatic precision. Oak is used with restraint, enhancing depth without overshadowing the fruit.
