The Côteaux Champenois L'Entre Deux 2022 by Vouette & Sorbée is a rare and fascinating red wine, an expression of the most artisan side of Champagne. Made from 100% Pinot Noir, it comes from biodynamically cultivated vineyards in Buxières-sur-Arce, in the heart of the Côte des Bar. The name L’Entre Deux refers to the location of the vines, nestled between two iconic parcels of the Domaine.
The result of a warm and generous 2022 vintage, this wine delivers a juicy and vibrant Pinot Noir, where tension and depth blend with natural elegance. Vinification is parcel-based and spontaneous in wood, with no fining or filtration, to fully enhance the character of the terroir. The wine was aged for 11 months in barrel and bottled in November 2024, in an extremely limited production.
On the palate, L’Entre Deux 2022 impresses with its aromatic finesse: notes of red berries, crisp cherry, citrus peel, alongside floral hints and delicate spices. The mouthfeel is tense, saline, and precise, with a subtle tannic structureand flavorful persistence, in perfect harmony with Héloïse et Bertrand Gautherot radical vision: to craft still Champagne wines that are authentic, pure, and identity-driven.
