The Champagne ‘R’ by Veuve Fourny & Fils is a tribute to the Maison's founder, Roger, and a symbol of the Maison's tradition and craftsmanship excellence. This exclusive Champagne, vinified entirely in small oak barrels, is the result of a unique savoir-faire that recalls the winemaking of yesteryear. After ageing for 18 months on the lees in barrels and at least 4 years on the lees in the Maison's historic cellars, ‘R’ expresses opulence and smoothness, characteristics that make it a gourmet Blanc de Blancs, perfect for exceptional dishes. Obtained exclusively from Chardonnay grapes from 50-year-old vines grown on the Premier Cru soils of Vertus, this Champagne Blanc de Blancs is an authentic expression of the Côte des Blancs terroir.
With a dosage of less than 4 g/l, ‘R’ is an elegant and structured Champagne Extra Brut, ideal to combine with refined dishes such as white truffles or soft, mature cheeses.
