Champagne Veuve Clicquot

The Champagne Veuve Clicquot Rosé by Maison Veuve Clicquot carries a legacy dating back to 1818, when Madame Clicquot created the first blended Rosé in Champagne, abandoning the customary use of elderberry to colour the wine in favour of uniting her finest vin rouge from Bouzy with her classic Champagne. That visionary choice rewrote the region's rules and opened new paths, handing down to history a cuvée that still today embodies the boldness and stylistic continuity of one of Champagne's most celebrated names.
This edition, built upon the traditional style of the Brut Yellow Label, shows a predominance of Pinot Noir grapes ranging between 50 and 55%, joined by 28-33% Chardonnay grapes and 15-20% Meunier grapes. The blend is enriched with a significant share of vin de réserve, from 25 to 40%, some aged up to nine years, together with 12% vin rouge sourced from different Crus selected for their excellence, elements that ensure aromatic depth and faithfulness to the Maison's style.
On the palate, the luminous and delicately rosé colour foreshadows a refined balance that combines delicacy and power, with a profile that interweaves freshness and fruity harmony. The structure unfolds towards an enveloping roundness, while the persistence accompanies the palate with great coherence, delivering an elegant whole of long breadth, where every component finds its place within a compact and perfectly balanced texture.
