Extra Brut
The Champagne Extra Brut by Vazart-Coquart is a Blanc de Blancs crafted from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from vineyard parcels in Chouilly, a Grand Cru village of the CĂ´te des Blancs. The vines, with an average age of 45 years, grow on chalk soils rich in Belemnite fossils, which impart a profile of remarkable purity and minerality.
The blend is composed of 35% from the 2020 harvest and 65% from the Réserve Perpétuelle, initiated in 1982 and renewed each year by 40% with a strict selection of high-quality cuvées. Vinification includes partial malolactic fermentation and maturation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, followed by at least 36 months of ageing on the lees. The Extra Brut dosage (1.5 g/l) highlights freshness and elegance, hallmarks of the house style.
On the palate, this Extra Brut displays refined aromatics with notes of white fruit and a distinctive chalky mineral backbone. The taste is authentic, vibrant, and long persistent, supported by a marked chalky tension that defines its precision and character. An essential and refined Champagne, combining balance, energy, and longevity.
