The Champagne Au DĂ©tour du Sezannais by Marie Copinet is conceived as an interpretation of the brightest expression of the SĂ©zannais, a territory cultivated by the family for generations and now enhanced through an eco-responsible approach and organic farming. It is a Blanc de Blancs made from Chardonnay grapes sourced from the finest parcels of Villenauxe-la-Grande, crafted to precisely convey the chalky character, mineral tension, and refined expression of this area of Champagne.
The vinification follows an essential and respectful approach to the raw material, including a passage in oak, followed by around 4 years of bottle ageing under cork, choices that enhance depth and complexity. The final dosage of 3 g/l, in Extra Brut style, highlights a clean and precise expression, where the evolving notes integrate harmoniously without weighing down the profile.
On the palate, Au DĂ©tour du Sezannais reveals aromas of citrus, white flowers, light honey, and delicate pastry nuances, with a well-balanced hint of oak. It combines creaminess, energy, and drive, supported by a fine mousse and a freshness that leads into a saline, persistent, and well-balanced finish, where richness and precision achieve a particularly convincing harmony.
