Le Chemin Empreinté
The Champagne Le Chemin Empreinté by Le Brun de Neuville gives voice to the Les Chemins range, the expression of a shared vision that brings together a parcel-based approach, sustainable viticulture and the human touch to deliver wines with a unique and recognisable identity. This Blanc de Blancs comes from the lieu-dit of the same name in the Côte de Sézanne, a terroir able to combine tension and ripeness, interpreted through a faithful reading of soil and year that unites precision and depth.
This edition, based on the 2018 harvest, is enriched with 20% vin de réserve and relies solely on Chardonnay grapes, with a slow vinification and fermentation in oak vats and stainless steel tanks, followed by around ten months of maturation. After tirage comes a long ageing on the lees of 72 months under cork stopper and a dégorgement à la volée, while the final dosage of 4 g/l, in Extra Brut style, preserves balance and expressive clarity.
On tasting, Le Chemin Empreinté shows a creamy freshness and a marked mineral imprint, supported by a compact, fleshy and well-defined substance that brings structure and breadth without losing drive or verticality. On the palate it reveals balance and depth, with a harmonious and always controlled progression in which tension and roundness coexist with restraint, leading to a clean, savoury finish of long, precise and highly consistent persistence.
