Jolie Promenade

The Champagne Jolie Promenade is the cuvée that Julien Hénin signs with his own name, distinguished by identity and refinement. It is inspired by a childhood memory: a walk along the Marne, among the vineyards and soils of the village of Cerseuil, on the Left Bank of the Vallée de la Marne, where Julien carefully cultivates his parcels of Chardonnay, currently in organic conversion. The clay-rich terroir of the area gives the variety structure, energy, and a distinctive character.

For this edition, the blend consists of 65% from the 2022 harvest and 35% vins de réserve, vinified 42% in oak barrels and 58% in stainless steel. After tirage, the wine ages for at least 24 months on the lees before disgorgement, with a final dosage of only 2.5 g/l, in an Extra Brut style designed to enhance fruit purity, mineral tension, and natural balance.

In tasting, Jolie Promenade immediately reveals itself as vibrant and full of promise, showing a refined balance between luminous acidity, subtle wood influence, and a clear, surprising mineral imprint—rare for this part of the Vallée de la Marne and closer in style to the profiles of the Côte des Blancs. On the palate, it is elegant, deep, and authentic, with precise texture and a persistence that highlights expressive clarity and territorial coherence. A cuvée offering a sincere, refined sensory experience, hinting at a tremendously promising future. Produced in a limited edition of only 1,380 bottles.
