Gamine Zéro Dosage

The Champagne Gamine by Jean-Marie Massonnot was created as an affectionate tribute to Camille’s grandmother, lovingly nicknamed “Gamine” — a symbolic figure of a generation deeply connected to the land and the authentic values of vineyard life. Originating from the Premier Cru village of Coulommes-la-Montagne, in the western part of the Montagne de Reims, this Champagne captures in the glass the generous and profound spirit of Pinot Noir, balanced by the elegance and supple character of Meunier, a historic variety of the area.

This Zéro Dosage edition is composed of 60% Meunier and 40% Pinot Noir, with a base of 70% from the 2018 vintage and 30% reserve wines, which enhance its aromatic complexity. Vinification and fermentation take place entirely in stainless steel vats, emphasizing the expressive purity of the fruit. After tirage, the wine matures for at least 48 months on the lees, developing depth and harmony. With no final dosage, in a Brut Nature style, it achieves a taut and dry profile that highlights the precision of the terroir and the stylistic consistency of the vigneron.

On the palate, Gamine Zéro Dosage reveals a dense and multi-layered profile, with aromas of ripe red fruits, candied citrus, and subtle spicy notes. The mouthfeel is full and silky, supported by a broad structure and a saline tension that extends the finish. The fine effervescence and the balance between freshness and substance deliver a sincere, vibrant Champagne of natural elegance — a genuine reflection of the Premier Cru terroir of Coulommes-la-Montagne, marked by authenticity and character.
