The Champagne Grande Réserve by Guy Charlemagne is a Blanc de Blancs of remarkable elegance and purity, made from 100% Chardonnay sourced from vineyards located near the Grand Cru villages of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger, iconic sites of the Côte des Blancs, renowned for their chalky soils that impart finesse, tension, and mineral depth to the wines.
Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, with a skilful blend of reserve wines, followed by tirage and a minimum of 30 months of aging on the lees. This long maturation gives the wine structure, harmony, and aromatic complexity, while preserving its vibrant freshness and the transparent expression of its terroir.
On the palate, the Grande Réserve displays a bright straw-yellow color, enhanced by a fine, persistent mousse and a crystalline brilliance. The nose opens with ripe citrus notes, harmoniously intertwined with floral hints of acacia and delicate nuances of rosewater. The palate is creamy, balanced, and expansive, animated by shades of lime and grapefruit that lend energy and freshness, gradually evolving into tones of fresh hazelnut, almond, and light pastry.
