Rosé Suzanne Gosset

The Champagne Rosé Suzanne Gosset is a contemporary interpretation of the historic savoir-faire by Gosset in the realm of rosé Champagnes, paying tribute to Suzanne Gosset (1885–1970), President of the Maison from 1955 to 1965. A visionary figure, she recognised as early as 1947 the expressive and communicative power of rosé Champagne, pioneering the use of the clear glass bottle in order to showcase its distinctive colour, a bold and innovative choice at the time.

The cuvée is the result of an assemblage dominated by Chardonnay (65%), complemented by Meunier (17%) and Pinot Noir (11%), with the addition of 7% still red wine from Cumières, vinified to express a pure and fully ripe fruit profile. The grapes are sourced from a selection of villages including Aÿ, Bouzy, Cumières, Courmas, Vandières and Bar-sur-Aube, reflecting a broad yet coherent interpretation of the Champagne region. The base wines are aged for 9 months, followed by a minimum of 60 months ageing on the lees after tirage. After disgorgement, the bottles rest in the cellars for a further minimum of 12 months, allowing the final dosage of 11 g/L to integrate harmoniously.

On tasting, Rosé Suzanne Gosset displays a bright, copper-hued colour, a clear sign of its extended maturation. The nose opens with stone-fruit red aromas — cherry and plum — before evolving, with aeration, towards more complex notes of ripe pink grapefruit and white peach. On the palate, the attack is precise and fresh, followed by an enveloping progression in which tension and fruit roundness coexist in constant balance. The finish is focused and persistent, marked by fresh citrus notes and a subtle mineral edge that prolongs the impression of maturity and elegance.
