Grand Rosé Magnum

The Champagne Grand Rosé by Gosset is crafted from a blend dominated by Chardonnay (58%), which imparts freshness and precision, complemented by Pinot Noir (35%) and 7% of Pinot Noir vinified as red wine from the prestigious villages of Ambonnay, Bouzy and Cumières, adding structure, complexity and its refined rosé hue. The grapes are sourced from some of the most renowned terroirs of Champagne, including the Grand Cru villages of Ambonnay, Aÿ, Bouzy, Chouilly, Verzenay and the Premier Cru of Villers-Marmery.

Vinification follows the traditional style of the Maison, with fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature and no malolactic fermentation, in order to preserve tension and purity. The focus is on achieving a crisp fruit expression and remarkable finesse. After bottling, the wine ages for at least 4 years on the lees, followed by an additional minimum of 6 months after disgorgement, allowing for a perfect integration of the dosage. The latter, precisely adjusted to 8 g/l in Brutstyle, ensures balance between freshness and fruit, without masking the purity and character of the wine.

On the palate, Grand Rosé reveals a luminous coppery-pink hue, enlivened by a fine and persistent mousse. The bouquet opens with aromas of crisp red berries, pomegranate and citrus peel, enriched by floral nuances and subtle spicy notes. The palate is fresh, elegant and harmonious, with a silky texture and vibrant minerality leading to a long and refined finish.

Gosset

Gosset is the oldest Maison in Champagne, founded in 1584 in Aÿ by Pierre Gosset, lord and Échevin of the village. The family's roots trace back to Jean Gosset (1484-1556), "Lord of Aÿ and Mareuil", the first documented ancestor of the dynasty. For sixteen generations of direct lineage, the Gosset family has safeguarded a savoir-faire passed down from father to son, until 1993, when the Maison joined the family-owned Renaud-Cointreau group, which has since devotedly preserved its original style and identity.

In 2009, on the occasion of its 425th anniversary, the Maison moved to Épernay into the splendid Hôtel Trouillard, an early twentieth-century building set within a protected park, beneath which stretch around five kilometres of galleries carved into the chalk, reaching depths of up to twenty metres. Here, a constant temperature and humidity of around eighty percent accompany the slow ageing of the bottles. Its iconic emblem remains the celebrated bouteille antique, introduced by Jean Gosset in 1760 and adorned with the refined medaillon en sautoir designed by Albert Gosset.

The vineyards span approximately 140 hectares across a refined mosaic of Grands Crus and Premiers Crus in the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne, with plots in the most prestigious villages such as Aÿ, Bouzy, Ambonnay, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Vertus and Cumières. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier give rise to an unmistakable style, defined by mineral freshness, vinosity and finesse, sustained by the Viticulture Durable en Champagne certification. Each bottle thus becomes the reflection of more than four centuries of timeless elegance, preserved in the most authentic spirit of Champagne.
