Champagne G.H. Mumm

RSRV Rosé Foujita

The Champagne RSRV Rosé Foujita by Maison G.H. Mumm is a blend of six Grands Crus terroirs, bringing together Pinot Noir from Verzenay, Aÿ and Bouzy, and Chardonnay from Cramant and Avize. Vin Rouge d'Ambonnay, another Grand Cru village, is added to the blend and gives fullness and intensity to the palate, as well as aromas of red and black fruit. The grapes are pressed and vinified separately before being blended with the vin de réserve. The wine matures in oak barrels and rests on its yeasts for at least four years before dosage.

The aromatic richness of this Cuvée Rosé allows multiple possibilities. It can be paired with meats such as beef, fish such as salmon and any creamy dessert. RSRV Rosé Foujita can accompany a meal from the appetizers to the desserts.

G.H. Mumm

The history of the Maison G.H.Mumm and its wines started before 1827, when the maison was officially founded. The origins of the Mumm family, whose dinasty also includes barons and knights, date back to the 17th century. In 1761, the family started the wine production and commerce in Koln, under the label of P.A. Mumm, the owner's name, Peter Arnold Mumm.

In the early 19th century, Arnold's three sons, Gottlieb, Jacobus and Philipp understood the commercial potential of the sparkling wine from the French Champagne region. Relying on the good relationships between Germany and France, the Mumm brothers decided to open a branch in Reims in 1827, supported by a local wine-grower, G. Heuser.
