Quinte Essence 2014
The Champagne Quinte Essence by Franck Pascal is a cuvée conceived as a meeting point between wine, nature and creative sensitivity. Its name evokes the idea of a quintessence capable of bringing together flavours, aromas and sensations, with a clear link to the world of musical composition and haute cuisine. Franck Pascal interprets here a Champagne of strong personality, shaped by the depth of Meunier and by a free, intense and mineral reading of the terroir.
This edition, Millésime 2014, comes from a single harvest and from an assemblage composed of 75% Meunier grapes, 14% Pinot Noir and 11% Chardonnay, where the main component brings fruity breadth and character, while Pinot Noir and Chardonnay respectively contribute structure, tension and finesse. After tirage, the wine ages on the lees for over 9 years, amplifying complexity and aromatic depth. The final dosage of 2 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, preserves energy, precision and mineral freshness.
In tasting, Quinte Essence expresses a rich and vibrant profile, with notes of ripe fruit, candied citrus, delicate spices, floral hints and evolved nuances linked to its long maturation on the lees. On the palate it is broad, taut and layered, with generous substance supported by incisive freshness and a long, savoury and mineral finish, highlighting its balance, intensity and gastronomic character.
