The Coteaux Champenois Sermières Rosé “Les Gueules aux Vaches” 2022 by Émilien Feneuil is an extremely rare rosé wine born in the Premier Cru village of Sermières, on the hillsides of the Montagne de Reims, from a parcel that precisely reflects the clay-limestone-chalk matrix typical of the area. Feneuil, an independent grower farming just over two hectares under certified organic practices, works with an artisanal, parcel-driven approach, favoring low yields and a faithful interpretation of place. This Coteaux Champenois rosé — a very uncommon category in the region — expresses its terroir through a rosé vinification from Meunier grapes, aiming to convey varietal purity, tension, and identity.

The 2022 vintage, marked by bright conditions and steady ripening, produced healthy grapes with strong aromatic expression. Vinification takes place with spontaneous fermentations in wood, following a minimal-intervention philosophy designed to enhance transparency and authenticity. The maturation before bottling, carried out rigorously for a minimum of 24 months, guides the wine toward harmonious balance between energy and depth, preserving freshness and definition without adding weight to the profile.
