The Champagne Dom Pérignon Vintage 2008 emerges as one of the Maison’s most emblematic expressions, embodying its relentless pursuit of harmony and its commitment to interpreting a single vintage, whatever the challenge may be. The 2008 vintage—often remembered as a “miracle of Champagne”—was marked by grey skies, slow ripening and a surprisingly natural balance. At harvest time, thanks to a sudden improvement in the weather with clear skies and cool north-easterly winds, the grapes reached an unexpected level of quality, with vibrant acidity, aromatic purity and perfect maturity. Dom Pérignon builds upon these foundations with greater depth and a warmer luminosity, shaping a profile of remarkable complexity.

As per tradition, the cuvée is crafted from a meticulous blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, aged for at least eight years in the Maison’s cellars, where the extended maturation on the lees leads to a slow and precise transformation. It is during this prolonged ageing that the wine develops its dense, layered structure, the harmony that defines the Dom Pérignon style, and a tension-driven balance built around the purity of the vintage and the depth imparted by the creative process.

On the palate, Vintage 2008 opens with delicate floral notes that evolve into fresh almonds, dried apricots and toasted brioche. It is full and rounded, yet never opulent, supported by precise aromatic definition and a silky texture. The interplay of energetic acidity, density and finesse leads to an elegant finish, with lingering hints of citrus preserves and a sense of total harmony—the hallmark of Dom Pérignon’s greatest editions.

Dom Pérignon only creates Vintage Champagnes, from the best selected grapes from a single year of vintage. It never ends its innovating experience and always offers the best of the vintage. It refuses compromises and does not produce its Vintages when the vintage is not at its best- After a 8-year vinification, the wine reaches a perfect balance, the most beautiful product of the Maison: this is Dom Pérignon Vintage.

P2 is Deuxième Plénitude by Dom Pérignon, the result of a 16-year process of elaboration. All assemblage ingredients are well mixed and grant the Vintage a stronger intensity, liveliness and precision: Champagne energy at its best!

P3 is Troisième Plénitude by Dom Pérignon, the result of a 25-year process of elaboration. The Champagne gains an even more essential structure, enriched by a slow and deep integration. This is a sublime wine, more complex than ever. The Troisième Plénitude is Dom Pérignon's soul.
