The Champagne L’Aphrodisiaque by David Léclapart is a cuvée of rare intensity, made from a blend of 80% Pinot Noirand 20% Chardonnay, sourced from vineyards located in the village of Trépail, classified as Premier Cru in the renowned Montagne de Reims. The grapes, cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic viticulture, reflect the authentic identity of this unique terroir. Harvest base: 2019, vinification takes place entirely in oak barrels, with spontaneous fermentations triggered by indigenous yeasts. The process excludes any fining or filtration, and no final dosage is added: the wine is bottled as Brut Nature, in order to fully preserve the purity of the fruit and the minerality of the terroir.

David Léclapart, a key figure in natural viticulture in Champagne, cultivates about 3 hectares of vineyards divided into 22 parcels, all within the village of Trépail. His winemaking philosophy rejects the blending of different vintages, in favor of a clear reading of the year and the land. The addition of sulfites is kept to a minimum, used only at the pre-bottling stage.

On tasting, L’Aphrodisiaque presents a bright straw yellow color, enhanced by golden reflections and a fine, persistent perlage. The aromatic profile is intriguing: notes of mint, spices, almond, and toasted bread emerge, introducing a refined aromatic complexity. On the palate, it impresses with its freshness and the balance between tension and roundness. Juicy notes of apricot unfold, accompanied by a silky texture and a well-defined mineral structure. The finish is long, vibrant, with a saline and citrusy closure that leaves a lasting impression.
