The Champagne Bouvet-Poul by Antoine Bouvet is a blended cuvée that interprets a territorial mosaic across Avenay-Val-d’Or, Bisseuil, and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. The grapes, sourced from multiple parcels, combine Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as the structural backbone, while Meunier contributes softer nuances, shaping a balanced and dynamic profile.
This edition, base vintage 2022, is crafted through vinification and fermentation in used barriques, with spontaneous fermentations driven by indigenous yeasts. The process excludes fining, filtration, and the addition of sulfites, following a minimal intervention approach. After tirage, the wine undergoes lees aging for a minimum of 24 months. The low dosage defines an Extra Brut style, preserving a precise and focused profile.
On the palate, Bouvet-Poul reveals a well-defined balance between mineral tension and citrus freshness, supported by a delicately creamy texture. It develops with linear progression and good depth, carried by an agile structure and a clean, persistent finish.
