Champagne De Venoge
Princes Rosé Millésime 2014

The Champagne Princes by Maison De Venoge revives the splendour of the Orange court with the historical bottles created by Joseph De Venoge in honour of the princes of the Dutch royal family. The particular shape is reminiscent of the crystal decanters that were used at the beginning of the 20th century to serve the Champagnes of the time.

The Cuvée Princes Rosé Millésime 2014 comes from the careful selection of Pinot Noir grapes from vineyards in the Petite and Grand Montagne de Reims for a Champagne Rosé of great minerality and frankness. The contribution of other grapes from Les Riceys gives this Cuvée Rosé a greater aromatic richness: hints of strawberry and gooseberry and citrus aromas. Harvest 2014 and ageing  for at least 5 years in the Maison's cellars before a dosage of 6 g/l is added - making it a Brut.

Champagne Princes Rosé is ideal as an aperitif and paired with lobster and salmon dishes.

Champagne De Venoge

Maison De Venoge was founded by Henri-Marc de Venoge with his son Joseph, in 1837 in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, in one of the most renowned areas of the Champagne region. In 1838, Henri-Marc De Venoge was at the origin of a true marketing revolution with the creation of the first illustrated label in the history of Champagne, a major innovation to meet the needs of the nobility of the time, who wanted to have not only a great Champagne but also a precious, elegant and unique object at the centre of the table. In 1851 the Cordon Bleu brand was registered - the iconic label with the blue band chosen as the emblem of the Maison to represent the river La Venoge and the Order of Saint-Esprit, the most famous order of knighthood under the French monarchy. In 1858, in honour of the Dutch royal family, the Cuvée Princes was launched, which is still produced today in an elegant bottle representing the decanters used at the time by the European aristocracy to serve Champagne. In 2005, the Cuvée de Prestige "Louis XV" was launched, in honour of the King who did so much for Champagne.  On 25 May 1728, King Louis XV issued a decree allowing only Champagne wines to be shipped and sold in bottles, marking the birth of Champagne as we know it today. In 2015, the Maison settled in a prestigious villa - now a UNESCO World Heritage Site - at 33 Avenue de Champagne in Épernay, perfectly reflecting the image of nobility, distinction and refinement associated with De Venoge.
