The Champagne L'Aspirant by Yves Ruffin is born from the meeting of two Premier Cru villages, where organic viticulture becomes the authentic expression of deeply gifted terroirs. This cuvée interweaves Avenay-Val-d'Or, in the Grande Vallée de la Marne, with the Garas, Robins and Panthenay plots, and Tauxières, in the southern part of the Montagne de Reims, with the Bas-des-Têtes plot, from which emerges a wine that translates the chalky minerality and the luminosity capable of uniting strength and delicacy.

This edition, from the 2022 harvest with the addition of 10% vin de réserve from 2021, comes from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes in equal parts. Vinification and maturation take place over six months in oak and acacia barrels and foudres, a choice that lends complexity and aromatic depth to the wine. After tirage follows an ageing on the lees for a minimum period of 15 months, while the final dosage of 3 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, preserves the tension and expressive purity of the cuvée.

On tasting, L'Aspirant reveals a fresh and vibrant attack, driven by a marked acidity that defines its character and sustains its development. On the palate emerges a perfectly balanced roundness, with an elegant structure that evolves towards a long and refined finish, where power and elegance meet in a harmonious balance of rare persistence. Production in a limited run of 7836 bottles, accompanied by 194 magnums.
