The Champagne portrait 2015 by Paul Launois is the result of 100% Chardonnay grapes coming from the village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the renowed Côte des Blancs, classified as Grand Cru. 

This Champagne Blanc de Blancs comes from a single vintage, 2015, undergoes a vinification in steel tanks and rests on its own yeasts for more than 48 months. Spontaneous fermentation and natural malolactic process. Final dosage of 2 g/l for this Champagne Extra Brut.

Located in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Côte des Blancs Grand Cru village, a couple of passionate winemakers, Julien Launois with his wife Sarah took the family Domaine in 2010, and after a renovation of the property, they do their first harvest in 2015, creating their own Champagne brand in honour of their son Paul Launois.

Among their cuvées, obtained from just 6 hectares of vineyards all planted with Chardonnay, the most surprising experiment concerns the "Single Barrel", a limited edition of ten custom-made Champagnes, vinified in oak barrels produced directly by the "Tonnellerie Artigianale de Champagne" with a different degree of toasting, from the lightest to the strongest. The aim is to create annually unique Champagne, depending on the type of barrel used.

Paul Launois Champagnes, fully express the identity of the chalky and mineral terroir of the prestigious Côte des Blancs. Balance, freshness and the finesse of its aromas are the hallmarks of the classic range, to which exceptional woody and toasted aromas are added for the "Single Barrel" range.
