The Champagne Rich by Veuve Clicquot springs from the audacity that has always distinguished the Maison, reinterpreting an ancient tradition in which the wines with a more generous dosage were described precisely as Rich. Conceived to be enjoyed with ice and a fresh ingredient, it is a cuvée designed for mixology that invites you to personalise the tasting experience, turning every glass into a creative and contemporary gesture without renouncing its identity and elegance.
The blend shows a predominance of Pinot Noir grapes at around 45%, forming its structure, joined by a significant share of Meunier that rounds out its profile and completed by Chardonnay to lend freshness, with the addition of vin de réserve to ensure stylistic continuity. Its true uniqueness, however, lies in the final dosage of 60 g/l, in Doux style, a choice that amplifies the aromas of the whole and that, as the Chef de Caves likes to recall, acts like a spice capable of revealing unexpected scents and playing with flavours.
On the palate, it stands out for its indulgent and enveloping profile, where freshness coexists with a generous roundness in an interweaving of citrus and floral notes. The structure is soft and alluring, sustained by a liveliness that lightens the sweetness and balances its momentum, while the balance plays on the dialogue between fruity richness and aromatic tension. The persistence closes long and pleasing, leaving a fragrant finish that expresses all the versatility of this interpretation.
