The Champagne VV/R23 by Roses de Jeanne is a Blanc de Noirs born in the Côte des Bar, from one of the Domaine’s most emblematic lieux-dits. Val Vilaine is a historic parcel of around 40-year-old vines, cultivated according to a rigorous vision that prioritizes single-parcel expression, varietal identity, and terroir transparency—core principles of Cédric Bouchard’s work. Here, Pinot Noir becomes a tool of precise expression, free from stylistic mediation, within a project that rejects blending and aims to convey the vintage in its most essential form.

This edition, based on the 2023 harvest, is produced exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, with a vinification that follows a minimal-intervention approach, featuring spontaneous fermentations, lees ageing, and zero dosage (Brut Nature), fully aligned with the Domaine’s style. Low yields and carefully calibrated ageing times help shape a Champagne defined by tension, verticality, and clarity, faithfully reflecting both the character of the vintage and its terroir of origin.

On the palate, VV/R23 reveals a clear, vinous profile, built around precise fruit, a mineral framework, and a well-integrated saline energy. Aromas of red apple, ripe citrus, and subtle floral notes emerge on the nose, while the palate is linear and driven by incisive freshness and a long, dry finish, expressing a fine balance between substance and tension.
