Bouzy Vintage 2016
The Champagne Bouzy Vintage 2016 by Paul Clouet is a pure Blanc de Noirs, made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the prestigious Grand Cru village of Bouzy. The 2016 vintage, marked by a challenging start followed by a warm and sunny summer, yielded grapes of remarkable aromatic concentration and beautiful ripeness, perfectly expressing the power and elegance of the terroir.
Vinification takes place entirely in stainless steel to preserve the purity and freshness of the fruit. After tirage, the wine ages for at least six years on its lees, developing depth, complexity, and harmony. The low dosage of 2.5 g/l, in Extra Brut style, enhances the precision and mineral finesse of the cuvée.
On the palate, Bouzy Vintage 2016 reveals a bright golden hue and a fine, steady mousse. The bouquet opens with notes of ripe red fruits, candied citrus, and subtle hints of hazelnut and brioche. The mouthfeel is structured yet vibrant, perfectly balanced between tension and roundness, leading to a long, elegant, and lingering finish.
