The Champagne Blanc de Blancs by Lilbert-Fils tells with rare clarity the story of Chardonnay from the Grands Crus of Cramant, Oiry and Chouilly, three emblematic villages of the Côte des Blancs where chalk lies just a few centimetres below the surface and gives the wines tension, brightness and a distinct saline streak. Guardian of a family tradition handed down through generations, the Domaine shapes this cuvée in a classic and measured style that puts the purity of the grape and the elegance of the terroir first.

This edition, from the 2021 harvest, is completed by 50% vin de réserve and undergoes vinification and fermentation designed to preserve freshness, precision and aromatic definition. After tirage comes an ageing on the lees of at least 30 months that enriches its complexity and harmony, while the final dosage of 3 g/l, in an Extra Brut style, underlines its tension and expressive clarity.

On tasting, it stands out for freshness, precision and finesse, with a nose revealing fresh citrus, white flowers and subtle, refined mineral hints before opening in the glass onto white-fleshed fruit such as apple and pear, together with delicate notes of almond and toasted bread. On the palate it is taut and vibrant, supported by a bright acidity that enhances its drive and definition, with a slender, vertical structure leading to a long, clean and persistent finish.
