Rosé Chantemerle Gourmandise Magnum

The Champagne Rosé Chantemerle Gourmandise by Julien Prélat is conceived as an identity-driven expression of the historic vineyards of Celle-sur-Ource, in the Côte des Bar. The parcels, planted in 1982 on limestone soils rich in marine fossils, offer Pinot Noir a vibrant, terroir-driven profile, giving life to an artisanal rosé that combines depth, aromatic finesse, and a contemporary interpretation of the southern Champagne landscape.

This edition, based on the 2023 harvest, undergoes vinification in small stainless-steel vats designed to preserve integrity and precision. The cuvée is made exclusively from Pinot Noir, with 10% vin rouge, a choice that brings structure and naturally intense colour. After tirage, the wine ages for around 18 months on the lees, followed by a dosage below 3 g/l, in Extra Brut style, enhancing tension and expressive transparency.

On the palate, Rosé Chantemerle Gourmandise shows a sensual and richly fruit-driven character, with notes of wild strawberry, fine spices, hints of quina and rhubarb. On the palate it is vinous and satisfying, supported by freshness, precision, and a dynamic drinkability. The structure is well-balanced, the persistence lively, and the overall impression closes on energy and crystalline aromatic purity.

Produced in a limited edition of only 1,970 bottles and 90 magnums.

Julien Prélat

The Domaine Julien Prélat is located in the heart of Côte des Bar in the village of Celles-sur-Ource. It is with a love of well done work and a passion for wine that Karine and Julien offer Champagnes that reflect all the peculiarities of their terroir. Julien represents the fourth generation of winemakers in his family and applies a reasoned cultivation of the inherited land. His passion for oenology drives him to develop unique and rare wines, known as pure wines that fully express their different characteristics. At every stage of the production process, he is constantly striving for perfection, in order to satisfy his customers while respecting ancestral traditions.

Concerned about the land and the legacy to be left to future generations, Julien practises a quality and reasoned cultivation. Faithful to his principles, he is present in every phase of the life of his vineyards, from sowing to harvesting and the result is there to see: splendid vineyards and grapes of excellent quality. Julien vinifies each individual plot separately (lieux-dits) and keeps his wines in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels to ensure optimal product evolution. Ardent defender of 'Made in France', he only uses materials made 100% by French companies - true partners in his success.
