The Champagne Blanc de Millénaires 2014 by Charles Heidsieck is crafted from 100% Chardonnay, a true Blanc de Blancs born from the assemblage of the region’s finest and purest terroirs. Only five villages — one Premier Cru and four Grands Crus — compose this Champagne: Vertus, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Avize, and Cramant. These vineyards were selected for their ability to fully develop and express their opulent organoleptic character and exceptional sensory complexity. It was in 1993 that Charles Heidsieck unveiled its first Blanc des Millénaires 1983, and since then the Maison has released only eight vintages of its celebrated Blanc de Blancs: 1983, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2014.

The 2014 vintage was extraordinary, with Chardonnays harvested from the Côte des Blancs showing remarkable freshness and purity. Almost a decade of patience — marked by harmonious ageing in the Maison’s chalk crayères — has given this exceptional Cuvée de Prestige its own personality and aromatic complexity.

In tasting, Blanc de Millénaires 2014 displays a crystalline, luminous gold hue with an elegant stream of fine bubbles. The nose is fresh, mineral, and saline, then unfolds into fruity notes of citrus and kiwi before revealing the classic tertiary aromas that define the Maison’s style: puff pastry, brioche, dates, and dried apricots. On the palate, it shows great depth, defined by an elegance derived from the exceptional quality of the Chardonnay fruit. Its flavours mirror the delicate nuances of the nose, enhanced by a remarkably voluptuous texture and an almost endless finish. While already offering a superb tasting experience, this wine possesses the power and longevity to age just as beautifully as previous vintages.

Founded in Reims in 1851 by Charles-Camille Heidsieck, the Maison represents the youngest legacy of the legendary Heidsieck dynasty.
