Ageius 2017Alexis' Champagne Ageius 2017 is the result of 100% Pinot Noir coming from vineyards in the village of Aÿ, Grand Cru of the Vallée de la Marne. The parcel of origin is the one of La Fosse (lieu-dit) with south /south-east exposure and clayey-chalky soil.Millésime 2017, this Blanc de Noirs vinifies and ages in 400-liter barriques, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and malolactic not done. The dosage remains within the Brut parameters.Limited edition Champagne. - Winery

In Troissy-Bouquigny, in the Vallée de la Marne, Champagne Alexis born in 2015 from the ambitious project of Alexis, sixth generation of Champagne Xavier Leconte. The vineyards of Champagne Alexis consist of small plots distributed in the villages of Troissy, Dormans, Mareuil-le-Port, Vandières and Aÿ: Meunier is mainly located in Troissy, while Pinot Noir in Aÿ.Alexis manages the work in the vineyard with meticulous attention by applying the principles of biodynamic agriculture, including the integration of lunar cycles both in the activities in the vineyard and during vinification in the cellar. The goal is to preserve the soil and obtain healthy grapes to produce quality wines that express the terroir that gather all the richness and complexity of each lieu-dit. For this reason Alexis conducts a parcel vinification.In the cellar, fermentation is done in fût de chêne and / or in particular terracotta amphorae; spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts are favored and it is limited to the minimum intervention in all subsequent phases. The malolactic fermentation is not performed and the added dosages are minimal if not zero.Complexity, consistency, depth and harmony are the characteristics of the Champagne Alexis, which promises to be one of the most promising new realities among the region's vignerons. - Shipping and returns
