Oudiette

Champagne Oudiette is located in Beaunay, in the Coteaux du Petit Morin, an area still relatively unexplored yet highly promising, west of the Côte des Blancs. The estate covers around 3 hectares spread across Beaunay, Celles-lès-Condé and nearby villages, with a predominance of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, alongside Meunier. Its origins date back to the 1920s with Léon and Gabrielle Aubert, later developed by André and Arlette Oudiette and then Pascal, until the arrival of Maxime Oudiette, who has represented the new generation since 2012.

Maxime brings a clear and contemporary vision, centered on the expression of terroir and the enhancement of each individual parcel. Separate vinification of each plot is a key principle to understand and translate soil identity into the wines. In the vineyard, he follows a free and thoughtful approach inspired by organic and biodynamic practices, with the belief that quality is primarily built in the vineyard. Harvest decisions rely on careful assessment of ripeness through tasting berries, juices and seeds.

In the cellar, intervention is minimal and precise: spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts, no added sulfites at pressing, and exclusive use of small oak barrels for both vinification and maturation. Oak is used as a tool to promote gentle oxygenation and natural evolution without masking the wine. The goal is to craft wines that faithfully reflect both vintage and origin, where each cuvée conveys the balance between environment, time and the winemaker’s sensitivity.
