The Champagne Prés de Dieu by Guillaume Sergent is a Blanc de Blancs that brings together two complementary souls of the Montagne de Reims, Les Prés (lieu-dit) in Vrigny, facing east on sandy soils, and Les Vignes Dieu (lieu-dit) in Coulommes-la-Montagne, facing south on more calcareous ground. These two plots come together in a Chardonnay full of energy, tension and mineral elegance, a sincere reflection of its vigneron's free-spirited, artisanal approach and of the identity of these places.

This edition, from the 2022 harvest, was vinified and matured entirely in oak barrels with spontaneous fermentations driven by indigenous yeasts, so that the wood accompanies the fruit without ever covering it and preserves the clarity of the Chardonnay and its terroir. After tirage comes around 24 months of ageing on the lees, bringing depth and finesse, while the final dosage of 2.5 g/l, in Extra Brut style, highlights the purity and precision of the cuvée.

On tasting, Prés de Dieu shows a straw-yellow colour with golden highlights, enlivened by a fine, creamy perlage, with aromas of ripe citrus, pear, white flowers and light toasted nuances joined by a firm chalky mineral streak. On the palate it is broad yet taut, with lively freshness and well-integrated salinity carrying its development towards a long, clean and very elegant finish, supported by a harmonious and precise structure. Total production amounts to 3,412 bottles.
