The Champagne Pataphysique Millèsime 2019 by Guillaume Sergent is a Blanc de Noirs made from 100% Meunier, sourced from old vines grown in the Premier Cru village of Vrigny, in the Montagne de Reims. Here, the sandy and clay-limestone soils provide the Meunier with energy, depth, and a strong sense of place.

The 2019 harvest was vinified and aged in oak barrels, with spontaneous fermentations from indigenous yeasts and no fining or filtration, in line with the artisanal and natural approach of the vigneron. After tirage, the wine matured for over 48 months on its lees, developing complexity and aromatic finesse. Disgorgement was carried out with no final dosage (0 g/l – Extra Brut), highlighting the purity and essential character of the style.

On the palate, Pataphysique 2019 reveals a rich and vibrant profile: the nose opens with crisp red fruits, citrus notes, spicy nuances, and mineral undertones. The mouth is tense and structured, with a precise texture, marked salinity, and a long, incisive finish, a faithful expression of Meunier from Vrigny.
