Collection Trésor 1985

Since the founding of the Maison in 1834, the Boizel family has made sure to store bottles of the best vintages in the Trésor cellars. Now these treasures are finally shared with old vintages' lovers in the so-called Collection Trésor, of which the 1985 and 1990 vintages are the first two to be released.

The year 1985 began with a very cold winter and a rather gloomy spring followed by a warm and sunny summer which resulted in a lower amount of grapes but of exceptional quality and incredible character, despite being harvested a little later than usual (at the beginning of October).

This exceptional vintage achieved its fullness, remarkable depth and complexity also thanks to the 33-year aging period on its yeasts (disgorged in June 2019) in the Maison's cellars.

The Champagne Boizel Collection Trésor 1985 is the result of a blend of 45% Pinot Noir (from Mailly, Ay and Bisseuil), 40% Chardonnay (from Avize and Chouilly) and 15% Meunier (from Cumières). Final dosage of 3 g/l - making it an Extra Brut.

The Maison Boizel was founded in 1834 in Epernay by Auguste and Julie Boizel. The Champagne production is a tradition in the Boizel family and the 6th generation is now managing the business with Eveline Roquez Boizel's two sons, as well as his husband Christophe Roques. Production and experience over 180 years in the hands of the same family and a deep knowledge of the terroir are the crucial ingredients of the high quality recipe of this Maison.
