Sensuum Vertigo 2016

The Champagne Sensuum Vertigo 2016 by Alexandre Filaine is a blend of 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier grapes from the Damery terroir in the Vallée de la Marne. It is the only Vintage produced by vigneron Fabrice Gass, available in only 500 bottles, making this product a true gem. The vinification takes place in oak tonneaux from the Maison Bollinger, where Fabrice has worked for 27 years, and the ageing on the lees lasts a good 6 years, with corked bottles. The remuage is strictly manual and carried out by Fabrice himself, as is the dégorgement. The dosage reaches 4 g/l - making it a Brut.

Very expressive and broad on the nose, where the mineral and salt notes are evident, while those of dried fruit and almond are more delicate. In the mouth it is rich, savoury, with a light bubble and a balance that already promises splendid evolution over time. Definitely suitable for gourmet dinners or even to enjoy on its own to fully appreciate all its nuances, but above all a Champagne to have and store in your cellar!

Alexandre Filaine is a small reality managed by Fabrice Gass. the vineyards are around 1.5 hectares, fractioned into 7 lots, in Damery, Vallée de la Marne. Fabrice Gass used to work for Bollinger, where he gathered experience and knowledge. Following his own passion, he has started producing an extremely limited quantity of excellent champagne, about 5,000 bottles a year.
