Hélène

Domaine d’Hélène was founded in Cramant Grand Cru through the vision of Pierre Hugot, a young vigneron from a family of growers established in the Côte des Blancs since 1891. Named in tribute to his maternal grandmother Hélène Wanner, the project expresses Champagne as an authentic reflection of terroir. After formative experiences in Burgundy and Corsica with prestigious Domaines, Pierre Hugot returned to Cramant with a contemporary vision. The vineyards extend across Cramant, Avize, Oger, Oiry, and Vertus, on chalk-rich soils that bring mineral tension and precision to the wines.

The production philosophy is rooted in organic and biodynamic practices, late pruning, and light soil work to encourage microbial life and deep vine rooting. In the cellar, the approach remains essential, with spontaneous fermentations, indigenous yeasts, low sulphur levels, and long ageing on the lees. Each cru is vinified separately to preserve its identity and expressive transparency, giving rise to Champagnes with a strong territorial character.
