The Champagne Renaissance by Vadin-Plateau offers an authentic and thoughtful interpretation of Meunier in the Vallée de la Marne, expressing the artisanal work of a family-run domaine based in Cumières Premier Cru. The parcels from which this cuvée originates are mainly concentrated in the commune of Cumières and reflect an environmentally respectful approach to viticulture, grounded in organic practices, massal selection, and the enhancement of the area’s specific pedoclimatic characteristics. Renaissance is conceived as an identity-driven project, aiming to convey a sincere, readable, and terroir-focused expression of Meunier, free from superfluous stylistic intervention.

Vinification and fermentation take place partly in stainless steel and partly in wood, exclusively with indigenous yeasts, without fining or filtration. After tirage, the wine undergoes lees ageing for between 30 and 36 months, designed to build depth and articulation while preserving energy and precision. The final dosage, below 3 g/l in an Extra Brut style, helps define a taut and clean profile.

In tasting, Renaissance shows a clean and vibrant profile, supported by a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet reveals white fruit, citrus notes, and delicate mineral nuances, with more evolved hints recalling dry pastry. On the palate, the attack is fresh and savoury, with a full yet well-calibrated structure, supported by a balanced acidic framework that carries the wine toward a long, saline, and harmonious finish, combining character, depth, and excellent drinkability.
