The story of Maison Raday begins in 2018, when Valentin Tribaut leaves his family estate, Champagne Tribaut Schloesser, to pursue his own winemaking project. We are in Romery, in the Vallée de la Marne, and the name Raday pays tribute to the river that flows through Romery, Cormoyeux, and Fleury-la-Rivière, areas tied to his family origins. Valentin is a young vigneron deliberately outside traditional channels: no website, no social media presence, and a winery that is difficult to locate—choices that reflect a precise and uncompromising vision.

Discipline, dedication, and focus define his work, entirely centered on vineyards and wines. The project is based on annual collaborations with carefully selected vignerons aligned with his philosophy, from whom he sources small quantities of grapes that he interprets through his own vision of terroir. It is an ambitious approach, yet well received thanks to a respectful mindset grounded in biodynamic and natural principles: indigenous yeasts, minimal sulfur use, vinification in Burgundy barrels, long aging, and minimal intervention throughout every stage.

The first collaboration took place in 2018 with his cousin Aurélien Lurquin, a well-known figure for applying biodynamic practices since 2012. In 2019, Valentin selected grapes from Régis Poissinet, a biodynamic grower in Cuchery highly regarded for his vineyard work. Through Maison Raday Champagnes, Valentin aims to express the uniqueness of each terroir while highlighting the growers behind it, whose names appear on every label. A coherent and personal path, pointing toward a very promising future in Champagne.
