The Champagne La Rue des Noyers by Benoît Déhu is conceived as a single-parcel cuvée of strong identity, a direct expression of a Lieu-Dit of approximately 1.7 hectares located near Fossoy, in the Vallée de la Marne. The name recalls the historic presence of walnut trees that once characterized this parcel, now cultivated according to biodynamic principles, with close attention to the rhythms of the lunar calendar and full respect for the ecosystem. The project reflects the artisanal vision of Benoît Déhu, focused on an authentic interpretation of terroir and of Meunier as a true territorial interpreter.

This edition, with base vintage 2017, is obtained exclusively from Meunier sourced from the single parcel “La Rue des Noyers”. Vinification and maturation take place for 11 months in 228-liter oak barrels prior to tirage. This is followed by ageing on the lees for at least 60 months, contributing to depth and precision. There is no dosage (0 g/l – Brut Nature), a choice consistent with a style centered on transparency, rigor, and expressive essentiality.

In tasting, La Rue des Noyers shows an intense golden-yellow color with a fine, persistent bead. The aromatic profile is complex and layered, with notes of ripe pear, quince, toasted hazelnut, sweet spices, honey, and white flowers, followed by mineral and lightly smoky nuances. On the palate, the wine reveals an enveloping structure, supported by balanced freshness and a well-integrated creamy texture. The finish is saline, long, and coherent, with persistence that highlights the elegance of Meunier and the precision of the work in both vineyard and cellar.
