Robert Moncuit

The origins of Champagne Robert Moncuit date back to 1889, when Alex Moncuit acquired the first vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, the iconic Grand Cru village of the Côte des Blancs. In 1928, his grandson Robert began producing Champagne under his own name, focusing exclusively on Chardonnay from the Grand Cru terroirs of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger. Ever since, chalky soils and craftsmanship have shaped the Domaine’s pure and authentic identity.

Today, the estate is run by Pierre Amillet, the fourth generation of the family, who farms around ten hectares of vineyards in the Grand Cru villages of Le Mesnil and Oger according to organic principles. His vision brings together respect for terroir and technical precision, with controlled yields and carefully calibrated vinifications designed to preserve purity and tension, in a constant balance between energy and finesse.

Les Chétillons and Les Vozémieux are the Domaine’s emblematic lieux-dits: the former, planted with vines over seventy years old on pure chalk, expresses power and verticality; the latter, planted in 1955, offers a more rounded and velvety elegance. Robert Moncuit Champagnes stand out for their chiselled minerality, depth, and a beauty that evolves over time with rare grace.
