Delamotte

Founded in Reims in 1760 by François Delamotte, a vineyard owner, the Maison Delamotte is the fifth-oldest Maison in Champagne. Born in the midst of an intellectual and cultural effervescence, its history is above all a family affair, passed down from the founder to his sons and preserved through the centuries with dedication. In 1927 the de Nonancourt family revived it at Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the very heart of the Côte des Blancs, and in 1988 the Maison joined the Laurent-Perrier group, alongside the prestigious Maison Salon, with which it shares both terroir and vocation.

In Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, the iconic Grand Cru village of the Côte des Blancs, the Maison Delamotte has chosen Chardonnay as its grape of predilection, making it its very signature. From the chalky soils of Grands Crus such as Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger and Avize, its cuvées draw a luminous minerality, finesse and balance, underpinned by a freshness that remains the unmistakable hallmark of its style. Faithful to the tradition envisioned by its founder yet open to a measured modernity, the Maison continues to express, with constancy and discretion, the authentic elegance of the Côte des Blancs.
