Odyssée was born from an idea of journey and discovery, a project guided by the beacon of returning to origins. Founded in 2010 by Ferdinand Ruelle, with the collaboration of Olivier Bonville – heir to Domaine Frank Bonville – the project took shape in Avize, the heart of the Côte des Blancs and a land of choice for Chardonnay. The goal is clear: to explore Champagne in its entirety, crossing all 319 villages of the appellation to capture its most authentic essence and symbolically bring it back home. A true oenological odyssey, where each stage enriches the story of the wine.

The production philosophy is dynamic, sustainable, and deeply respectful of the land. Odyssée relies on agriculture that looks towards organic practices, without dogmas, favoring an empirical approach based on research, exchange, and experimentation. Fermentations often take place in wood, with particular attention to indigenous yeasts, to capture every nuance of the terroir. Collaborations with other winemakers expand the aromatic palette, while maintaining the bond with Avize as the fixed point — both the origin and destination of the journey.

The Champagnes of Odyssée are born in the cellar but retain the spirit of the open sea: curious, ever-changing, never bound by rigid rules. They mature in an evocative underground gallery, which symbolizes the beginning of a new journey. Each bottle holds the deep meaning of this exploration: a continuous movement between identity and otherness, between memory and innovation, conducted with the sensitivity and vision of Ferdinand Ruelle.
