Champagne Tristan Hyest
Rosé Bord de Marne Magnum
The Champagne Bord de Marne Rosé by Tristan Hyest takes its name from the banks of the river that shapes the landscape of the Vallée de la Marne, where the family vineyards slope gently down towards the water around the village of Trélou-sur-Marne. It is the rosé expression of the vigneron’s signature cuvée, an artisanal and sincere interpretation of the terroir, born from chalky and limestone marl soils farmed without chemicals and with low yields, in respect of the natural balance of the vineyard. The result is a lively yet deep Champagne, a faithful mirror of a corner of Champagne where freshness, fruit and minerality find an authentic dialogue.
This Rosé version shows a prevalence of Pinot Noir grapes at 45%, alongside Meunier grapes at 30% and Chardonnay at 25%. About 10% vin de réserve from previous vintages is added to the blend, bringing breadth and stylistic continuity to the cuvée, while a small portion of the estate’s still red wine, following the Rosé d’assemblage method, adds colour and aromatic depth. Vinification and fermentation take place exclusively with indigenous yeasts, to preserve the most authentic identity of fruit and soil. After tirage, the wine ages on the lees for over 36 months, smoothing its texture and enriching its aromatic profile. The final dosage of 3 g/l, in Extra Brut style, keeps the wine taut, pure and true to its origin.
On tasting, Bord de Marne Rosé shows a cherry-pink colour with orange highlights and a fine, elegant perlage. The nose opens on redcurrant and small berries, then evolves towards notes of baked red apple and a delicate saline nuance that underlines its mineral soul. On the palate it is dynamic and savoury, supported by vibrant freshness and a tension that balances its structure. The finish is clean and persistent, with a coherent return of fruity and saline sensations.
