Champagne Guillaume Sergent
Rosé de Saignée Olga
The Champagne Olga by Guillaume Sergent is a Rosé de Saignée that captures all the vitality of Pinot Noir from Vrigny, a Premier Cru village of the Petite Montagne de Reims, where the vines grow on sandy and clay-limestone soils that give the fruit energy, freshness and a strong sense of place. Made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, it is a rare and personal cuvée that interprets rosé with the same free-spirited, artisanal approach that guides every choice of its vigneron.
This edition, based on the 2019 harvest, involves skin maceration that gives the wine its characteristic intense pink colour, followed by vinification and maturation in oak barrels with spontaneous fermentations by indigenous yeasts and no fining or filtration. After tirage comes at least 60 months of ageing on the lees, enriching its aromatic complexity, while the final dosage of 2.5 g/l, in Extra Brut style, enhances precision and mineral tension.
On tasting, Olga Rosé shows a bright pink colour crossed by a fine and persistent perlage, with aromas of crisp red fruit, ripe citrus and delicate floral notes, enriched by spicy and mineral nuances. On the palate it is enveloping and structured, with a vibrant freshness that carries its development towards a long, saline and very elegant finish, an authentic expression of the purity of its terroir. Production in a limited run of 320 bottles.
