Champagne Guillaume Sergent
Bossa Nova
The Champagne Bossa Nova by Guillaume Sergent brings the rhythm and vitality of the Petite Montagne de Reims to the glass. It is a Blanc de Noirs from Pinot Noir and Meunier grapes grown in the Premier Cru village of Vrigny, on west-facing sandy and clay-limestone soils. Here the vines give the fruit mineral richness, saline energy and a strong sense of place, shaping a spontaneous and sincere cuvée that reflects the free and authentically artisanal vision of its vigneron.
This edition, based on the 2024 harvest, was vinified and matured entirely in oak barrels, chosen to accompany the fruit discreetly and enrich its texture without ever altering its freshness, natural liveliness and expression of terroir. After tirage comes at least 15 months of ageing on the lees, bringing depth and finesse, while the final dosage of 2.5 g/l, in Extra Brut style, underlines the purity and stylistic precision of the cuvée.
On tasting, Bossa Nova reveals an intense and vibrant profile, with aromas of ripe red fruit, spicy notes, floral nuances and a light smoky hint forming a rich, well-defined aromatic picture. On the palate it is broad and finely chiselled, with a lively texture and a penetrating minerality that carry its development towards a long, saline finish of remarkable persistence, supported by a precise and harmonious balance. Total production amounts to 3,024 bottles.
