Champagne A. Lamblot
La vigne Ă Vovonne
The Champagne La Vigne Ă Vovonne by A. Lamblot is the rare and precious expression of a single vineyard in Vrigny, a village in the Petite Montagne de Reims where Pinot Noir finds a taut and luminous interpretation. The grapes come from Le Clos (lieu-dit), planted in 1984 on Ypresian soils of sands, sandstone and calcareous clays, which give the wine tension, finesse and a very defined identity. The result is an authentic and rigorous single-plot Blanc de Noirs, born from a deeply artisanal and natural approach.
This edition is made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes, vinified and fermented in stainless steel and oak barrels with indigenous yeasts, without seeking malolactic fermentation and with no oenological corrections, filtration, fining or cold stabilisation, in order to preserve all the purity and freshness of the fruit. After tirage, the wine ages on its own lees for more than 24 months, followed by hand riddling on pupitres and disgorgement carried out à la volée during a waxing moon, after which it is released without final dosage, in Brut Nature style, reflecting a pure and essential vision.
On tasting, La Vigne Ă Vovonne reveals a pure and essential profile, driven by energy, precision and transparency. The nose opens with notes of red fruits and citrus zest, accompanied by mineral touches of great clarity. On the palate it is taut, saline and vertical, with a lively, pulsating texture supported by vibrant acidity that carries a linear progression through to a long and persistent finish, a rigorous and authentic expression of Pinot Noir on sandy soil. Production in a limited run of 300 bottles.
