Chamery Rosé "Le Luth"
The Coteaux Champenois Chamery Rosé “Le Luth” by Clément Perseval originates in the Premier Cru village of Chamery, in the Petite Montagne de Reims, from a single lieu-dit planted with Pinot Noir in 1989 on clay-rich soils. It is a still rosé wine, extremely rare, offering an interpretation of the most quiet and authentic side of Champagne, with the aim of delivering a direct and unfiltered reading of the terroir and its natural tension, free from stylistic mediation.
This edition, from the 2023 vintage, is crafted following a low-intervention approach, with spontaneous fermentations and a carefully calibrated maturation designed to preserve the balance between substance and expressive precision. Cellar choices follow an artisanal and rigorous path, fully aligned with Perseval’s vision, while the extremely limited production, amounting to only a few hundred bottles, reinforces the confidential and identity-driven nature of this wine.
On tasting, Chamery Rosé “Le Luth” reveals a taut and refined profile, shaped by notes of fresh red fruits, pomegranate, and delicate citrus, accompanied by floral nuances and a subtle earthy undertone. On the palate, it is linear and precise, supported by a lively acidity that guides its natural development. The structure remains agile yet clearly defined, the finish is measured and coherent, and the overall balance highlights a pure and rigorous expression of Pinot Noir in a still rosé interpretation.
