The Champagne Clos Forestier by Vincent Cuillier is a single-plot Blanc de Noirs from the Massif de Saint-Thierry, conceived as a deeply territorial expression that offers a direct reading of the relationship between vineyard, soil and environment. The Au-Dessus de Résilvat (lieu-dit) plot, enclosed and naturally protected by the surrounding woodland, is one of the most distinctive parcels of the Domaine and perfectly reflects the vigneron’s vision, focused on regenerative viticulture, respect for biological cycles and the pursuit of a lasting natural balance. The vineyard, at around 180 metres above sea level, grows on Thanetian sands, light, well-drained soils rich in organic matter that give the wine a fine texture, a marked aromatic precision and a sense of structural lightness, highlighting the uniqueness of the site without corrective interventions or stylistic forcing.ì

This edition, Vintage 2022, is a Blanc de Noirs made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, with vinification and maturation in 500-litre barrels carried out with indigenous yeasts and spontaneous malolactic fermentation, following an approach of deep respect for the raw material. After a period of maturation on the fine lees and the tirage, the wine ages for about 36 months on the lees, at the end of which it receives no final dosage, in Brut Nature style, confirming a pure, essential and coherent reading of its terroir.

On tasting, Clos Forestier 2022 shows a bright golden colour and a fine, continuous perlage, leading into a measured and deep nose of ripe fruit, delicate spicy hints, subtle vegetal touches and a clear mineral, sandy imprint. On the palate the structure is taut and elegant, supported by a linear progression and a fine texture that lead to a saline, precise and persistent finish, in which the identity of the plot and the natural balance of the wine clearly emerge. Total production amounts to 2,767 bottles.
