The Champagne Rosé by Rémi Leroy is produced in Meurville, in the southern part of the Côte des Bar, an area renowned for intense, terroir-driven expressions of Pinot Noir grown on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils. Rémi Leroy’s vision is rooted in artisanal viticulture, with close attention to grape maturity and a faithful interpretation of the vineyard, aiming to translate the character of the terroir into Champagnes that are restrained, precise, and free from stylistic artifice.

This edition, based on the 2022 harvest and completed with 15% vin de réserve, shows a prevalence of Pinot Noir grapes (60%), alongside 40% Chardonnay and enriched by the addition of Pinot Noir vin rouge, which defines its colour and aromatic profile. Vinification and fermentation follow a gentle pressing and take place partly in stainless steel and partly in oak barrels, with full malolactic fermentation and without filtration or fining. After tirage, the wine ages on the lees for at least 24 months and is completed by a final dosage of 1 g/l, in Extra Brut style, consistent with the vigneron’s taut and essential signature.

In tasting, this Rosé shows a bright salmon-pink hue and a fine, persistent perlage. The aromatic profile focuses on fresh red fruits—wild strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant—accompanied by delicate floral nuances and lightly spicy hints. On the palate, it displays freshness, tension, and a vinous, well-defined structure, with a finely tuned balance between fruit expression and acidic drive. The finish is clean and precise, delivering harmony and a clear sense of territorial coherence.
