Champagne Pinot-Chevauchet
Meunier Vieilles Vignes
The Champagne Meunier Vieilles Vignes by Pinot-Chevauchet tells the most authentic story of the Coteaux Sud d’Épernay, in the Vallée de la Marne, where the family has tended its vineyards for four generations, preserving a savoir-faire handed down with passion and rigour. The grapes come from three parcels of old vines over 60 years old near the village of Moussy. The result is a Blanc de Noirs that sincerely expresses the generosity of Meunier and the deepest essence of the Champenois tradition.
This edition, based on the 2022 harvest, is made exclusively from Meunier grapes, with vinification and fermentation in oak barrels using indigenous yeasts, while malolactic fermentation takes place spontaneously in the spring following the harvest. After tirage, the wine ages on the lees for at least three years, gaining depth, finesse and aromatic complexity. The final dosage of less than 4 g/l, in Extra Brut style, is designed to precisely enhance the distinctive features of its terroir of origin.
On tasting, Meunier Vieilles Vignes shows a brilliant golden hue, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage, along with an intense, layered nose that moves between notes of white-fleshed fruit, white flowers and subtle mineral hints. On the palate it reveals a full and harmonious structure, enlivened by a vibrant freshness that elegantly accompanies the fruity character. The finish is long and mineral, with a persistence that faithfully conveys the identity of its terroir.
