Rosé Saignée de la Côte V21
The Champagne Rosé Saignée de la Côte by Brocard Pierre originates from the La Martinée parcel, set on a complex substratum of hard Portlandian limestone, lumachelle with exogyra, Kimmeridgian marl, and brown clay. In this setting, 100% Pinot Noir expresses an intense and textural personality, giving life to a saignée Rosé that interprets the Côte des Bar with depth, energy, and a strong territorial imprint.
This edition, based on the 2021 vintage, involves pressing with a traditional 4000 kg vertical Coquard press, followed by vinification and fermentation entirely in stainless steel, a choice that preserves aromatic integrity and fruit definition. After bottling, the wine undergoes lees aging for a minimum of 24 months, a period that builds structure while maintaining tension and drive. Final dosage in Extra Brut style.
On the nose, Saignée de la Côte offers an aromatic explosion reminiscent of red berry jam, strawberry, raspberry, and cassis, accompanied by touches of violet, pepper, and cinnamon. On the palate, it shows clear structure and pronounced vinosity, with a broad and enveloping texture supported by lively freshness. The progression is intense and persistent, with returning red fruit notes, light vanilla nuances, and a delicate hint of liquorice that accompanies the finish.
